Summer Exploration Series: Herbaceous & Other Late Summer Plants

Explore summer-themed topics through walks, talks, and family-friendly activities! 

Join CNC Naturalist Leala as we notice and identify plants along our walk, especially herbaceous plants. We may see goldenrods, asters, milkweed, grapes, thistle, vervain and many other plants. We will learn how to identify plants from observing them, connecting with them, and seeing what animals are visiting. Feel free to bring a nature journal or paper and pencil if you’d like to document your observations! This program is family friendly and open to all ages.
