Summer Exploration Series: Insects & Arachnids-- Their Secret Lives Discovered

Summer Exploration Series: Insects & Arachnids-- Their Secret Lives Discovered

Explore summer-themed topics through walks, talks, and family-friendly activities!

“Who is the master of disguises?” asks the little green nymph covered in its own spittle of froth. But no one answers. The nearby geometrid caterpillar imitating a twig doesn’t talk. Neither does the sunny colored flower crab spider who has been awaiting unwitting prey for days on a yellow petal. feeling that having to find another flower, and having to change his color again, might take too much effort. Insects are masters of deception, the most varied and fascinating animals on the planet, and the foundation of terrestrial ecological systems. Come to view dragonflies through binoculars, discover secretive species who have evolved on Earth for over 400 million years, and learn more about the life cycles, and lives, of insects and arachnids with CNC Naturalist Angie. This program is family friendly and open to all ages.
