LPN 1:1 for Medical Bus support
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one medical support for a student or individual requiring assistance during transportation. The LPN will ride on the bus to ensure the safety and well-being of the assigned individual, monitoring their health status and responding to any medical needs during transit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide one-on-one medical supervision and support during transportation.
- Monitor the individual's health condition and respond to any medical emergencies as needed.
- Administer medications or treatments per physician's orders, if necessary.
- Ensure proper use of medical equipment, such as oxygen tanks, feeding tubes, or seizure precautions.
- Collaborate with bus drivers, school staff, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and smooth transportation process.
- Maintain accurate documentation of health observations and any interventions provided.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with safe boarding, seating, and exiting procedures for the individual.
Requirements:
- Current LPN license
- CPR certification
